Lenten Bible Study

Join us for a lenten study in the library. Four Wednesdays in Lent. Feb 17th, 24th, March 2nd,and 9th. The evening study begins Evening Prayer followed by a soup supper at 6:30 p.m. followed by discussion at 7:30.  Babysitting available — check in with church office to arrange. Read more

Montclair Santa Visits on the Front Lawn Saturday Dec. 6

The Montclair Santa will be visiting St. James front Lawn at noon. Come by and give him your Christmas list!! Read more

Christmas Pageant on December 17

Our Christmas Pageant presented by the children and youth of the parish will be during the 10:15 service. All children ages 3-18 welcome! No acting experince required. The pageant is a great way for children to understand the meaning of Christmas. Contact the church office if your child is interested in attending rehearsals. Read more

Ribbons of Thanks

Thanksgiving Day is approaching, and now is a great time to reflect upon all that we are thankful for. Please feel free to choose a ribbon from baskets located inside the church and outside by the front lawn lamp post starting on November 16th, and write down what you are thankful for using the fabric marker in basket. Choose a spot on the bushes or the scaffolding in front of St. James, tie your ribbon to a leaf, twig, or post, and it will be displayed for all to see! We are also collecting donations of canned food for the Human Needs Pantry in the container provided. Read more

Food Drive for Montclair Human Needs Food Pantry

Between November 9th-23rd, St. James is sponsoring a Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Montclair Human Needs Food Pantry. When out shopping for yourselves, pick up extra non-perishable items such as pasta, rice, soups, tuna, peanut butter and shelf stable milk for donation.For the holidays the Food Pantry is also seeking stuffing mix, canned yams, instant potatoes, packaged gravy, cranberry sauce, piecrust mix, and pie filling. Holiday Tree Lighting Saturday Nov 29

St. James Church along with UMBA (the Upper Montclair Business Association) will be hosting holiday ornament making at 4 p.m. followed by the town tree lighting on the front lawn at 581 Valley Road, the corner of Valley and Bellevue at 5 p.m. Saturday November 29. All are welcome. Read more
