Diocese of Newark elects 11th Bishop

The Rev. Carlye J. Hughes was chosen XI Bishop of the Diocese of Newark during a special convention on May 19, 2018 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Morristown.  The first woman and first African-American to be elected bishop in the Diocese of Newark, Hughes, 59, is currently rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Worth, TX and was one of three nominees. Town Santa coming to the front lawn!!!

Santa is coming!!! Montclair Recreation Department along with the Fire Department will be driving Santa around this Saturday Dec. 3rd.  He and the community band will be stopping on the lawn of St. James to give out candy canes at noon.  Read more

Volunteers for Habitat Build

We are looking for a few volunteers to work on a job site with Habitat for Humanity on Saturday Oct. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will meet at Grace Church in Nutley and carpool to the site. Bring a lunch and drinks. Hard shoes suggested, please no open-toed shoes. Teenagers and older are welcome. Parents would need to fill out a consent form.
